TAG Towbar Warranty

Faulty Product

TAG Towbar will provide a replacement part or unit free of charge or refund the purchase price at our discretion for faulty products returned to us within 30 days of purchase date subject to: 

  • Prior to returning the part or unit, you must contact us by phone or email.
  • The product has not been damaged or tampered with in any way.
  • Inspection and/or testing by us of the returned product.
  • When sending back a part or unit we advise you to use a freight service that insures & tracks the part – we cannot be held responsible for it until it has been received back by us.
  • Purchasers are responsible for shipping charges back to us. We will pay the shipping charges on the replacement product being sent to you within Australia.

TAG Wiring Harnesses 

Coverage 

TAG wiring harnesses carry a one-year warranty period from the date of purchase. If it is found to be defective due to manufacturing or material flaws during this period, TAG will, at its discretion, repair, replace, or refund the product.

Conditions & Exclusions 

Warranty applies only if purchased from TAG, correctly installed, used as instructed, and not modified. 

It does not cover: 

  • Incorrect installation, wiring errors, or modifications. 

  • Vehicle faults, overloading, or aftermarket alterations. 

  • Normal wear, cosmetic damage, labour, or incidental costs. 

  • Misuse, water ingress, corrosion, or physical damage. 

  • When used in conjunction with a brake controller that draws power from the brake and taillight circuit. Bluetooth Brake controller with no dedicated power source 

Wrong Product

In the event of a Purchaser having ordered the wrong product, TAG Towbar will at our discretion generally accept the return of the product and credit the sale price excluding the actual shipping charge (this may be more than the original delivery charge incurred at the time of order as we subsidise freight charges) & reserve the right to deduct a restocking fee of 10% at our discretion. The product must be unopened and in a re-sellable condition, i.e. has not been fitted to a vehicle. If the Purchaser orders a replacement product of a similar or greater value to replace the wrong goods the restocking fee will also cover the cost of shipping by standard method of the replacement product. Credits are at the discretion of TAG Towing and are subject to: 

  • Prior to returning the part or unit, you must contact us by phone or email.
  • The product being shipped back to us within 7 days of receipt by the Purchaser. The cost of returning the product is the responsibility of the purchaser – we do not accept “receiver pays” shipments.
  • The product and its packaging being “as new” when received back by us. We are unable to accept back towbars, weight distribution hitches and wiring harnesses that have been fitted to a vehicle and/or used in any way.
  • When sending back a part or unit we advise you to use a freight service that insures & tracks the part – we cannot be held responsible for it until it has been received back by us.

Please note: Any credit or refund issued by us will NOT include the original freight charge. The amount refunded will be less the actual freight cost to send the product to the purchaser. This reduction may be more than the amount charged at the time of order as we subsidise freight costs.
